The Limón Dance Company celebrates its 78th season with a powerhouse program that illustrates José Limón’s perspective as an outsider and underscores his lasting influence on generations to come. Audiences will explore a rich tapestry of stories and emotions, with each piece acting as a window into the lives of those who often remain unseen.
Embodying the excellence of early modern dance, the second act will open with Doris Humphrey’s emotionally rich solo, Two Ecstatic Themes, performed to live music, directed by DHF director Gail Corbin.
Also on the program will be The Traitor, Scherzo, and Missa Brevis, by José Limón, and a new work by Bessie award winning choreographer Kayla Farrish.
